I am also don't like the Apple product because no one single Apple product will sell on value for money price tag. They always get premium price for every product for just stupid things like thinner, etc.

Wait, you gave 3 counter examples that didn't propperly counter it. If I wasn't curious to see if you would actually show me a thinner laptop, I would have stopped reading.

Take the average thickness of the MBA. It's about .5 inches average. Average of the other is .65 or whatever. So in a way, MBA is not the thinnest at all levels, but it still contends as a very lightweight computer. And it doesn't come with horrible specs like netbooks do.

MBA is down to only 1,000 dollars now compared to the 1700 dollar one you showed. In short, this is not the best counter to what Steve claimed, even though you clearly proved it to be wrong. But did you really expect him to look at the thickness of EVERY OTHER MODEL out there?

@Hans: I would argue that the Mac Book Air fails in the department of value for money. For such an high ticket laptop, one would suspect having a DVD drive, a replaceable battery, FireWire, Ethernet, multiple USB ports, audio input, and optical audio output...

The MacBook Air is still by far a higher quality product. Apple do have a bad reputation for claiming to be the first for things, which a few begrudged nerds decide to spend their time disproving, but at the end of the day, can you really argue against the fact that the MacBook Air is far superior in quality than any of the alternatives?
